Otis Redding's live performance of "Try A Little Tenderness" is playing on Youtube. Cade is quiet; I don't even know if he's paying attention.

At the end, he bolts upright, "Wow! He's going crazy!" He comes to the computer, and watches the video. A white woman in the audience nearly swoons.

"What would you pay if you could go back and be right there?" Cade asks me.

I feel like something new has clicked with us, and it makes me happy.
